Jetta (“Yetta”) Harris, L.Ac. is a California Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist with a passion for helping her clients to live their best while feeling well doing it. After working at her alma mater, the University of California at Santa Barbara, she followed a calling to step in to a place in the world of healing and medicine. During her education and training she witnessed the powerful impact acupuncture, cupping, gua sha and herbs have on patients to bring about healing in areas of fertility/trying to conceive, pregnancy and postpartum, menstruation and menopause (“the second spring”), fueling her passion for reproductive and women’s health. She is proud to support all ages and stages of life within her practice; providing supportive and individualized care to all that she has the honor to treat.
During her time as an intern, Jetta enjoyed treating patients in the integrative medical setting at The Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center under the supervision of Dr. Robert Chu, PhD, LAc. In 2012, she took her knowledge abroad as a volunteer with One World Health Project to help in their auricular training program for the Fridsro Disability Rights Program in Sri Lanka. She was also honored to offer services at the Los Angeles Veterans and Families Stand Down in 2015. Her passion to help keeps her inspired in both her practice and continued volunteer efforts. She is currently working with Healing Opportunities, a Santa Barbara, CA based non-profit who strives to bring support and healing to the local community by providing NADA ear acupuncture treatments to those in the local community.
After completing a Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine with highest honors, Jetta went into private practice in her hometown of Santa Barbara, CA, where she remains today. She hopes to provide the very best individualized care and options she can, while guiding and empowering her patients as they move toward their personal goals. She prides herself on a less painful technique that is even great for those nervous about needles.
Jetta is a California girl through and through. She enjoys taking advantage of the beach and the mountains. In addition to being a mother of one, some of her favorite activities include: catching a sunrise as much if not more than a sunset, beach walks, time with her son, the hunt for beach glass, and a good meal shared with great company.
